TV evengelists

I do not want to offend anyone, so I will be subdued in this post. Sitting in a hospital room watching over a loved one gets a little boring.

In thumbing thru the TV channels I came across a religious type channel. I saw one man who was touting his "miracle water" and saying that we could order if FREE. It has all sort of healing qualities. He also played clips of himself going thru his healing of people by touching them and casting out their problems.

I don't understand how can fall for this sort of thing.

Beyond me but I think some people are desperate and not very sophisticated.

Don't know if she's still on but there used to be a husband and wife team - wife named Jan. She wore wigs in all colors and sometimes piled one wig on top of the other.

Wow. She obviously did not spend a lot of money on hairdressers.

Benny Hinn is the master of it. He can raise the dead if you lay their cold hand on the TV while he's on.

Jan said she prayed to God and He brought her "little chicken" back to life. She also said Benny Hinn, through the television, cured her glaucoma.

The Crouches were/are in cahoots with Binny Hinn.

I think the Crouches own TBN.

And trust me, they are far from perfect Christians and big hypocrites. I used to know a lot about what went on in the their personal lives and doubt much has changed.

Yeah, they are apparently just another version of Jim and Tammy. Wonder if Jan has considered marrying Jim..............oh wait, he's taken..........again. I can't imagine what sane person would marry either of them.

By the way, I wasn't aware that Paul Crouch had died. Once I left that job, I was through with hearing about all them.

I suspect Grouchy may have been referring to this segment on the John Oliver Show.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7y1xJAVZxXg

Oliver really tore it up...and the Church of Perpetual Exemption was founded. The Tilton part in priceless.

We Yankees catch a little flak at this site from time to time.

To be kind, let's just say.. I don't think too many of us have fallen for any of these characters.

It's..those OTHER parts of the country.
