Russian warplanes have begun their first airstrikes against ISIS targets in Syria, with President Putin saying he is concerned about the continued ISIS takeover of the region, and fear that ISIS forces might threaten European countries, including Russia, if they weren’t stopped.

A statement from the Syrian state media says President Bashar al-Assad formally requested help from Russia in the ongoing civil war, and that the airstrikes began in response to that. US officials slammed the move, saying Assad has to be removed from power.

The first Russian strikes targeted western Homs Province, with the Russian Defense Ministry saying they believe the positions hit belong to ISIS. Another rebel faction, however, claimed they were the ones that were hit, and also claimed Russia deliberately targeted civilians in the area.

According to US officials, Russia gave them an hour’s notice on the airstrikes, and advised them to remove US and coalition warplanes from Syrian airspace during the bombing run. There was no confirmation, however, if the US actually did this.

Remember the report a few weeks ago on The Daily Beast that 50 intelligence analysts had complained that their intelligence was being cooked at the top levels. No more word on what is going on so it is probably being suppressed. But, the lying is still going on with a report of 33 civilians killed by the Russian attack. It was accompanied by a photo of a little girl. Problem is the photo was taken 5 days before the attack!

There are some complaints that the Russians are killing the good jihadis who hate Al-Assad and so kill and behead people. They are supposed to kill the bad jihadis who hate Al-Assad and so kill and behead people too. Damned Russians!

Putin just signed a directive to draft 150,000 dumb men into the army. After training they will go to Syria to kill all the Jihadis, the good one and the bad ones. That's if there are still any left by then.

I think the danger now is how Peace Prize man is going to react now that Putin has stolen his thunder and is in control of the narrative in the Mid East. Will he go bazerk and send in American air power risking WWIII?

He just bombed a hospital in A-Stan killing and wounding a score of people. It was staffed by Doctors without Borders. 19 people were killed. The bombing continued for a half an hour after they contacted the military that they were bombing a hospital!
