When you look at the photo, would you be more concerned about the skirt length or the cleavage showing--assuming you are the dress police at a HS?

mom is single , a skydiving at our dropzone and very unique !! lots of tats ..lots of beer drinking , lots of partying ..Daughter has had every color hair you can imagine ..she's I'd say a little wild as well as mom..But, Mom really, really loves that girl and she really, really loves her mom .

edited to add , yes if the school has a dress code ..even Violet should follow it ..looks too short to me but then I am old

Wearing low cut and short length at the same time looks tacky imo....either one or the other, unless on the beach.

It's not the length that gets me - it's the low-cut of the bodice.

And the mom looks terrible in that dress. I would have sent her home from graduation.

No one knows how to dress properly for milestone occasions.

And yes, the top of the dress should be the biggest problem, but too short a dress can be a problem when sitting in a desk at school.

I was teaching 5th graders when mini skirts became popular the first time around.
I had a 5th grade girl who was at least 5 ft. tall and beginning to develop. Of course she was wearing mini skirts. The male PE teacher asked the principal to talk to the mother 'cause he was embarrassed at what he was seeing. Mother came in for the conference and blew her top. "How DARE the school---blah, blah, blah" The principal (a male) told her he was just trying to help the child grow up to be a young lady........Mom went home steaming mad but did cooperate with having the skirts knee length.

I make my girls wears shorts or leggings with any skirt that goes above the knee. They're just not old enough to know how to sit correctly.
