This season has been incredibly satisfying. They were counted out by some before the first pitch was thrown on opening day. Some radio hosts even made fun of Jeff Banister for his positive attitude even though the team, on paper, didn't look to be very good.

The only thing missing from the game was the sight of Mike Scioscoa Knowing he had to go home and watch the playoffs like all the rest of us.

Doesn't matter, he looks like that all the time anyway.

Didn't see the game.
Did Gaylord Perry, Fergie Jenkins or Charlie Hough pitch?

Hamels is THE MAN. I can imagine what he said when they asked him if he wanted to continue pitching into the 8th and 9th innings...like "I'm going to let the !@#$# bullpen lose this game for me now??? No @#%%# way, I'll just finish it MYSELF, thank you!!"

5-3 is your final.

Rangers beat Toronto's ace and will pitch Cole Hamels in Game 2. Big question mark is the state of Beltre's back.

It is kind of frustrating that both of the Ranger games were during the work day; I keep the play by play up on my computer, but it is not the same as being able to watch...

I hope the Astros can beat KC to set up a Texas World Series.

Two American League teams can not meet in the World Series. The best Texas and Houston can do is meet in the ALCS.

Maybe I should have said the World Series of Texas...
