Does anyone remember the party albums of the 1950s and 1960s?
I'm thinking of Brother Dave Gardner and Rusty Warren's records.
Red Foxx had some, too, but I never listened to him.

Red Foxx was funny as Hell; but very "Dirty".

Bob Newhart had quite a few as I recall.

Brother Dave was my favorite; I believe he lived out his last years in Ft Worth.

Rusty Warren was the first I thought of. I remember how outrageous we girls though she was. I'm not exactly sure what constitutes a party album. The albums we listened to a lot were Bill Cosby, Smothers Brothers, Bob Newhart........how 'bout Chubby Checker's Limbo Party?

I think the "party albums" were from entertainers too blue for radio. You had to buy the record, like Rusty Warren's "Knockers Up". "Comedy records" were OK for radio. My favorite was Stan Freburg.
