I put Rush up there with Johnny Carson as a great entertainer with the ability to hold a loyal audience.

Steyn is an entertainer..like Rush was years ago.

Rush is the leader of the Conservative movement..has been for years.

Don't think so.
Rush is in the same category as O'Reilly, Mark Levin and Hannity. He's better than those people, but he's still there to entertain his listeners.

There is none. I know because I'm a conservative and do not have a leader and don't want one.

About what I expected.

It's fine if you don't know who the primary defining voice of Conservatism is.

But if you don't..telling those of us that know for sure that we're wrong..is just being a dipwad.

When you don't know something..staying out of it is a great plan.

Rush is a talented radio mouth.
Nothing more.
So, you're wrong.

Why do you need a leader?
Why do you need someone else to define your political philosophy for you?
Can't you define your own views?
Can't you express them?
Do you need a voice coming out of a box telling you what to think?

..and if I didn't know who was..or didn't even have a few names to suggest who it MIGHT be..I'd keep my own mouth shut.

Unless you had someone telling you what to think, I'm sure you would have to keep your mouth shut. You'd have no choice.
What would you do if Rush kicked the bucket?
Start roaming the radio dial for the first voice you heard?

We're different in outlook. I'll leave it at that.

Him being the leading voice of Conservatism has nothing to do with me.

You've just graduated from dipwad to dipshit.
