Does it irritate you when your husband or other males leave the seat in the up position?

I ain't no lady, but it irritates me. I don't care for the lid to be left up either. I was raised to put both down.

Yes it irritates me. It also irritates me when, like Grandpa, they put the seat and lid down. Bob does that. Two bathroom homes are wonderful for 1 male and 1 female home. He has his bathroom and I have mine. No one is disgruntled over seat/lid placement.

Hubs doesn't leave the seat up and never has. No complaints from here UNLESS he pees off the porch! I know no one can see him, but he'd better not do it!

It's a curable mental disorder that all females are born with.
But you have to cure them of it early in the relationship.
I have a wife of 28 years and a mother in law that lives with us part of the year. They both know it is just as likely to find the lid up as it is to find it down..and they also realize that it would be just as easy (and stupid) for me to bitch and moan about finding the lid down as it is for them finding it up.

IF he's out planting or cutting hay or bailing hay, he might have. I don't know. Even though I worked out there, too. I've never seen him do it.

scarlett mentioned it had been bugging her for 51 years. For me it will be 34 years on Saturday. Nope, for some of us it ain't curable.
I don't recall this problem in the house I grew up in. With 3 males and 3 females in a 1 bathroom house I guess we were so happy to ever find the bathroom unoccupied that we never noticed the state of the toilet lid and seat.

sure , course 'courtesy and respect' runs both ways for both male and female though . That's why I think that Greg has the best answer so far Bodine .

I'm thankful that my husband thinks more like Bodine than Greg.
