Even if we do, it's not like it's never happened before. The hysteria over weather astounds me.

Rain is good. What is not good is tuning into a TV station with a multi-million dollar production budget that wants to show you cellphone video of it raining in Dalworthington Gardens.

Only part I don't like about the rain is having to let the dog out to go. No good at all on that.

I don't mind letting the dog out. It is letting him back in, with his big muddy paws, that I don't like....

Three or four inches of rain this weekend will save me a couple of thousand dollars on feed for the cows this winter.

For some reason I have no trouble believing that.

Yep, too dry for rye grass to have sprouted yet. Good news for me is I haven't had to put my donkeys in a dry lot yet. Bad news is I'm having to start feeding hay already.

They've already cancelled a high school band competition in Duncanville Saturday.

My wife says they considered having the bands perform in the auditorium and they would be judged on everything expect marching.
We saw that this summer when one of the Drum Corps International competitions was rained out and they just moved from the school's football field to the auditorium.

Oh, I remember aching for rain in TX. Really hard on people, land and
critters.
I used to sit outside and luxuriate in it. Glad to hear y'all are getting
some. Hope not way too much!
