Stopped at QT this morning to buy a Morning News. Walked up and handed the clerk a dollar bill only to hear that the price had gone up to $1.50 for the daily paper and he thinks $3.50 for Sunday. I probably haven't bought my last DMN but I sure won't buy many per month now. I thought the daily was too much at a dollar and usually only bought one on Friday.

It's becoming harder to justify the expense of the Sunday paper. It continues to shrink, and it seems like the only reason we buy it is for the Sunday ads. Which makes no sense because the advertisers have already paid for the inserts.

You can still get current Sunday editions of The News for a buck at Dollar Tree.

The only place that I think you can find the Morning News in Bryan/College Station is at Hastings; no home delivery for years, now. I am not going to make a special run just to pick up a paper.
Houston Chronicle is $1.00 for daily; $3.00 for Sunday; curious to see what their pricing does.

Most retailers put their Sunday ads on their websites, and they usually post them in the middle of the week before Sunday.
