The Christmas songs I like to sing are older than those....Like Silent Night and O Come Emmanuel. The old songs I like to hear on the radio would include Bing Crosby's White Christmas.

Crosby's White Christmas is great, and his Silent Night is also.

Have you ever heard the "Little Drummer Boy" Bing did with David Bowie shortly before Bing died ?

I get nostalgic around Christmas and New Years.

I've seen the video of Crosby and Bowie singing that song. Strange...

Thats a great choice. Not only is it a great choice, it won the Academy Award for best origional song when it came out, 1942, I believe, and for years and years it was the highest selling song of all time, with sales of well over 100 million, quite a feat back in the day.

Note; As a youngster I did dream of a White Christmas, today, not so much though.... Yes, I'm a Grinch

Another I really like is Dan Folgeberg's "Old Lang Syne".

It is a great sad story song, based upon something that happened to him; and strikes a personal not with me also.

I read it this morning and didn't get it.

Rather then embarrassing myself and asking why that was posted, I decided to come back later.

Ok, I get it!

No, because I knew you'd be sympathetic, understanding, and feel sorry for me.

I love 'Silent night'...but there are so many memorable Christmas songs and carols to pick from.
