I got scolded today

Had to run down to Cameron this morning. Diagnosed the problems and the customer told me to order the parts and get started.

I told him I would order the parts,but wouldn't do the work.

He said: "You can't just refuse work"

I said:"Yes I can"

He said:" I'll call your boss Mr.XXX"

I said:"I don't work for Mr.XXX"

He said:"Well then who is your boss?"

I said " You're looking at him"

He said:" You don't work for the machine MFG?"

I said:"Nope"

I explained that when a mfg direct employee is not available they use people like me, folks that know the equipment,but for whatever reason choose not to work for the mfg.

He then asked if I knew another guy that had been in his plant, I indicated yes and he didn't work for them either.

Then he says "Well crap I've never had one of their employees in here" I told him he was correct, that to my knowledge haven't been going to that plant for at least 10 years there had never been a factory guy in there.
