good for those Orientals , they keep themselves clean as far as appearance , they study hard , they work hard so good for them when they make more money !! Whites , Blacks and everyone in between better get serious and smarten up rather than being worried about 'global warming' studies and drowning polar bears and ballgames . ------------ just a comment .

I've heard that before, but like all of political correctness..the term "Asian" is inaccurate and just plain wrong.
The term "Asian" tries to define those from countries in which the people have slanted eyes.
The problem is..half of Asia is white people and/or black people..(Russia and many of the former Soviet countries...and India)
And it also puts people in the position of calling someone "Asian" whose family may have lived in the U.S., Australia or Europe for 8 generations.
"Oriental" is the proper term..it describes only slanted eyed people, and it does so from an ethnic viewpoint..not a geographic one.
If you’re “woke”..you’re a loser.

As an alternative, we could differentiate by calling them "Japs", "Russkies", and "A-rabs".

Yeah..that would clear!
But I could have said this line better myself..
"The term "Asian" tries to define those from countries in which the people have slanted eyes."
..should be..
The term "Asian" tries to define people with slanted eyes. That is what people are attempting to do.

Asian is not limited to people with "slanted eyes."
Perhaps it is to you, but outside your circle, it refers to the geography of one's ancestors or the person him/herself.
People from India are considered Asians, as are people from Japan.........
In a similar vein, an African can be from Egypt or Nigeria--very different physical characteristics, but both are Africans.

Of course people from India are Asians..that's the point.
But people use the term "Asian" to describe people that are of Chinese, Japanese, Phillipino or Vietnamese descent..and a few others.
They do not say.."did you meet my Asian friend?"..if the friend is from Russia.
They say it if the friend is Chinese. That's the problem.
If you say "Oriental"..everyone gets it.
