Everybody watching World Cup action this morning?

USA now playing Germany
Germany is nearly always one of the top 5 or 6 teams..so this game will tell the tale if our guys have any kind of shot.

It looks to me like both teams are playing to win, but they are doing it in a defensive-minded way.

Been a fan of Die Mannschaft since I was a kid. I was born in West Germany, and the USA was still many years away from qualifying. When I played in college, we would get together as a team and watch the Germans for inspiration.

USA advances, despite loss to Germany

The United States lost to Germany 1-0, but advances to World Cup knockout stage, thanks to Portugal's win over Ghana.
During the game, goalkeeper Tim Howard was able to block Thomas Müller's first attempt at scoring. But, he wasn't able to stop his second attempt, putting Germany ahead 1-0.

Kinda looked like one of the German forwards was offside on that goal.

I was in a McD's earlier. Both TVs were on kickbal. Sound was down on both & both had Closed Captioning on in SPANISH. It's already borrrrrring enough.
