Devastating ... from the Houston Chronicle

Postby mayhem » Fri Jul 29, 2016 8:57 pm

I know that you will condemn the Houston Chronicle because that's what you do, but first, read this astonishing declaration:

"The Chronicle editorial page does not typically endorse early in an election cycle; we prefer waiting for the campaign to play out and for issues to emerge and be addressed. We make an exception in the 2016 presidential race, because the choice between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is not merely political. It is something much more basic than party preference.

"Any one of Trump's less-than-sterling qualities - his erratic temperament, his dodgy business practices, his racism, his Putin-like strongman inclinations and faux-populist demagoguery, his contempt for the rule of law, his ignorance - is enough to be disqualifying. His convention-speech comment, "I alone can fix it," should make every American shudder. He is, we believe, a danger to the Republic.

"The times also require a person who envisions a hopeful future for this nation, a person who has faith in the strong, prosperous and confident America we hope to bequeath our children and grandchildren, as first lady Michelle Obama so eloquently envisioned in Philadelphia. That's not Donald Trump's America.

"It is Hillary Clinton's, who reminded her listeners Thursday night that "When there are no ceilings, the sky's the limit.""

It is what? I dunno. So simple. Trump's the one who doesn't even come close to measuring up. How is it you can't see that?

I don't praise the Houston Chronicle based on one editorial. I don't condemn the Houston Chronicle based on one editorial.

But I've lived in Houston and read the Chronicle for years. I know what they're all about.

That's just all stupid shit.

We just want someone to kick ass and take names..while loving their country.

..that's Trump.

Devastating.....I think not. Instead the usual crap from the Houston Chronicle and all the other liberal, far left wing, irresponsible news papers in Texas! Journalism? I think not. Opinion? Yes.

Even if I agreed with the Chronicle, I would still prefer Trump to Killery Rotten Clinton.

Then there's Killary's domestic track record. Remember Travelgate? How about Killary's plan to overhaul healthcare? Whitewater? Cattlegate? Filegate? Chinagate? Pardongate? And that's just the highlights.

Of course, what difference, at this point, does it make? It was all just a vast right wing conspiracy, :D

By the way, what day did this run? I can't find it in the online Chronicle. I'd like to go and read the entire editorial to ensure the validity of your BS. Would be nice for you to provide a link referencing your 'facts' when you throw out a declarative statement. Doubt you will, though.

Never mind. I found it. Sorry (see how easy that is?)
BUT you STILL only published the parts of the article... everyone edits. That's why a link might have been better for you so you didn't look so much like a carpetbagger..

For my money the Post was infinitely superior to the Chronicle.

The best thing about the Chronicle is its coverage of executions, being so close to Huntsville and all.

You have a good point. Actually I trusted another site from which
only quoted the part I sent on.

For me that seemed sufficient but I confess that it isn't a good
way to do business.

I sincerely apologize.

No surprise that they support the Hildebeast. Every position they have is whackjob liberal.

Anybody that supports Hillary Rodham Clinton for president is beyond brain-dead stupid.

I say that without even a hint of reservation.

The nomination of Hillary Rodham Clinton certifies the American Democrat party as the party of unbridled corruption.

That sums it up about as well as I've heard.
