Went for BBQ for lunch today. Working in Ft Worth, I either go to Railhead or Angelos BBQ. They are both good, just different. Angelos is more old school with traditional sides. That's where I went today.

We like Marshall's in FB.
It has boring decor, but good BBQ at a reasonable price.

Marshall's is still around? There used to be one in Addison on Midway, but that one is long gone.

There is a very good BBQ place in North Richland Hills call Back Forty Barbeque Smokehouse. It's on Davis and Main in the old Smithfield Feed Store. Good BBQ and good sides at fair prices.

Best BBQ I've ever had. You can cut the brisket with a plastic fork! But, only open 2 days a week. In Farmers Branch.

Actually think I've been there once. Don't remember the food though.

We like Main Street BBQ in Hurst, but it is not convenient and it is only open on weekend.

We love Main Street but it is a long haul from Carrollton. It's the best BBQ bargain in town. Was $15 per plate the last time we were there for all you can eat and they have it all, Brisket, Sausage, Ribs, Turkey plus sides and drink. I've never been there but from what I have heard, it would cost $30+ to get the same amount of food at Hard 8. Get here early, it does get crowded!!

Yes, she means Euless.
Two problems with it - nothing is trimmed ( a lot of fat) and it sits out. If you aren't they when they put it out, it's dry within thirty minutes.

Love Main St. If you're looking for it, it's actually North Main BBQ, but most people call it Main St. Some locals still call it "Green's", though.

I started to put "HEB" area........but then, you'd have wondered if I meant the grocery story, LOL

We have a friend who is crazy for BBQ. One year he and his son began in the Houston area and traveled Texas eating BBQ and making their own reviews. I think it was a 2 week trip, they circled through the Hill Country etc. and ended up back in Dallas. Fun time, but I don't think I could have known one place from another after eating BBQ 3+ times per day for 2 weeks.

Main Street is run by a former coworker of mine.

He and his siblings took over from their father a few years back.

Originally it was Green Trucking Company and they BBQed for their employees on Friday afternoons and later opened to the public in the 1980s

Very good family run place.

Ray has been running it as long as I've been here (27 years), but I'm not sure about the ownership aspect.

We stopped at Ray's BBQ Smokehouse in Norman a couple of years ago. The ribs were outstanding.

I like the Johnson Street Smokehouse in Greenville.
