When is the last time you wrote a letter with pen and ink and mailed it to someone?
I can't remember the last time I did that and can't remember the last time I received one.
I send Christmas and birthday cards and write a note on them. That's about as close as I get.

Monday. Wrote to a hobby manufacturer who operates without a website. Contact information was obtained through a discussion board; enclosed a LSSAE for his paper catalog. Sounds very old fashioned, but this is the only guy making this particular part.

Maybe a month or so ago.
Not frequently, but a few per year.

I love and I mean absolutely love to write letters and drop notes in the mail. My mother in law, who refuses to get internet, therefore has no email, really likes for me to write her handwritten letters. We talk twice a month, but she and I have established a pen-pal correspondence. It's fun, but time consuming and keeps me on my toes with penmanship.

Instead of the usual wording in birthday cards and sympathy cards, I really prefer to sit down and write out something personal. In fact, I was about to drop a note to someone today and realized I was out of stationery.

It's a dying art and I wish it would return.
