I think Grouchy is referring to the skyrocketing price, not the efficacy.

seems to me that if you want something then you buy it or do without . I've been stung by bees maybe 10 , 15 times and wasps 1-2 times . Never needed an epipen .

Charging hundreds of dollars for something that only costs $1 is only possible when the govt. grants them a monopoly.

lots of stuff like that , can a 'cope' used to be 35 cents and a pack a Camels was 30 cents . Rising costs and government mandated taxes raised prices .

all I know is that some stuff is expensive due to mandated taxes on items like like cigs and tobacco. People even cry when bottled water gets expensive in earthquake zones . Looks like epipen can be added to the list of expensive items PSteve .

as already mentioned , with Obamacare shouldn't everything be ok . And looking around on the web I see prices of 80 bucks [more or less] for a twin pack which doesn't seem all that bad to me .

Mylan has a patent on the injector pen. Teva failed this year to get approved, someone else pulled theirs last year (dosage issue iirc).

I gotta wonder what makes that injector/patent so dang hard to beat.

500% price increase over the last 7 or so years is good for the shareholders...not good for people who have to have the product, my sister does
