Is your sympathy affected by your impressions of someone?

Postby RaisinCain » Thu Sep 15, 2016 2:16 pm

I'm afraid I would have to say that mine is.

With regard to the Christina Morris kidnapping trial...I am sad that she met this fate, just as I would be with any human being. However, finding out during the course of this trial that she was dating a drug dealer and took drugs (and apparently sold them to "friends") has lessened my pity for her.

To repeat, sorry that she died. But there is an old saying: "When you lie down with dogs you get fleas". I don't think she "got what was coming to her" but knowing the thuggish crowd she willingly ran around with makes her a less sympathetic figure in my mind.

You?

Sorry, who is Christina Morris?
I feel like I'm parked diagonally in a parallel universe.

Same here. She'd called a dealer to deliver more cocaine.

Did any of you ever see her mother being interviewed?

Yes, her mother thinks she hung the moon. Maybe mothers are supposed to think that, I don't know. Edited to add that no one deserves to die like that.

Yes, Raisincain, I think like you do on this one.
