I got a pacemaker recently, still plugging along, my 73 birthday is in a couple of weeks.

Best wishes to all and good health also.

Life expectancy for a male born in 1944 was 66.5 years I think, so I am way ahead of the game. (fingers cvrossed)

Glenn, just curious. How active are you? Do you still work and/or get out and do things? My mom is a year or two older and won't do much anymore. Says she feels unstable because of her neuropathy.

That was quite impressive; must have taken a lot of his time and effort!

I had a triple by-pass 4 years ago. This was my deciding factor to sell my company of 40 years and retire. I am not very active due to heart issues and COPD which I have had for 10 or so years. I have also had two strokes with slight mobility results, nothing major, I tend to like the solitude of living alone, since 1985. And I also like the recurring holidays when I am with my three kids and their seven children. I hope you will, or have already read some of the medical articals to look for after old(er) age hits one. Slowing down, just relaxing and such is something that is normal in many cases as is staying active in many other. Both are fine and should be okay. I have had six leg operations for CLAUDICATION which is weak blood flow to the legs. I do not walk long distances or climb staire if I can avoid them.
I hope your Mom keeps on feeling ok, even with her neuropathy problem and enjoys many, many years to come. I hope this helps. glenn/dallas
