Some good meals there. I am surprised at the pheasant.

Ignore the time stamps, these are all from Jan of this year.

The pheasant surprises me also - I see one every now and then.

I never imagined they would be below the caprock.

I never thought I would see the day when turkeys were common and quail rare but that is the situation now in the Little Dixie area of Oklahoma and I suppose throughout the South. I routinely see flocks of turkeys but have only seen two or three coveys of quail since I have lived here.

Aren't fire ants blamed for the demise of the quail?

Nice photos, RO. I am surprised at the pheasant also.

Did the hogs knock down your feeder?

The bob White quail have made a come back with the rainfall.

And yes the hogs did a number on the feeder, it was suspended about 4 feet in the air under a mesquite tree and they managed to knock it down.

Love seeing these pictures. Too bad no video of the hogs doing their deed.
