DeVos was absolutely annhialated at the hearings tonight. Of course she'll probably be approved. That weasel Lamar Alexander has seen to that.

I too like the idea of federal school control, the hell with states and local school districts having any control.
The very thought that a teacher should be fired for not teaching is just crazy. I mean if we had teachers that taught their kids then how would we staff those schools where 60% of students test way below grade level?
It's down right un-American for a parent to want a voucher system so their child could go to a, gasp, better school or ,double gasp. a faith based school.
Look at the great things the teachers unions, oops,I meant to say the Department of Education, has given us, Common core and Michelle's healthy lunch program.
Not to mention I love the concept of billions of dollars going to Washington to pay bureaucrat's salaries, so they can send back a portion to the states.Makes great sense.
So lets all stand together to block someone so blind as not to see how well the unions are running/sp/ruining education.

I don't care for the Federal Department of Education either. But that's totally beside the point. If there's going to be federal agency, at least have someone at the helm who has a least "some" experience in the field.
Okay, let's appoint Dr. Pepper as Surgeon General and Mr. Mcfeely, the mailman from the misterrogers program as Postmaster General.

You said you don't care for the Dept of Education.
Putting someone in charge that comes from the world you wish them to come from, assures that nothing there will change.
The person must come from an adversarial group.

Ahhhh, so you admit she's an adversary to education.

..which means you're quite uncomfortable having this conversation.
