I don't know how many. But, I think if you could get 1% of any profession to request an investigation of the US govt. for anything it would be impressive.
Was that a serious statement?

- John Farmer, senior counsel to the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States
Immediately following the attacks family members called for an investigation into what happened and what went wrong. This lead to the formation of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities before and after the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001, the official name for the report completed by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. The investigation began in February 2002, and the report was released in December 2002.
When the final report was released it amounted to over 800 pages. Despite the lengthy report critics immediately pointed towards 28 pages that had been classified. Since the report was first released in late 2002 family members and lawmakers have fought to release the classified pages. In December 2013, Representatives Walter Jones (R-NC) and Stephen Lynch (D-MA) introduced Resolution 428, calling on President Obama to make the pages public. The resolution has received bi-partisan support.
Representative Jones has said the 28 pages will be an embarrassment to the administration, while Thomas Massie (R-KY) said while reading the documents he “had to stop every couple of pages and absorb and try to rearrange my understanding of history for the past 13 years and the years leading up to that. It challenges you to rethink everything,” he said at a press conference discussing the bill. In order to view the documents they had to sit in a soundproof room without taking notes.
Former Senator Bob Graham of Florida, co-chair of the joint Senate-House investigation, recently told VICE News that the redactions are a “cover up.” Graham stated, “It’s become more and more inexplicable as to why two administrations have denied the American people information that would help them better understand what happened on 9/11.”

Re: !
Your right! Releasing a report to inform the public and redacting 28 pages of it is exactly that. So was grounding all commercial aircraft while allowing all of the Bin Laden family to fly out of the country without ever being questioned.Dancer wrote:planosteve wrote:“In the course of our investigation into the national response to the attacks, the 9/11 Commission staff discovered that the official version of what had occurred (the morning of September 11, 2001) – that is, what government and military officials had told Congress, the Commission, the media and the public about who knew what when – was almost entirely, and inexplicably untrue.”

planosteve, you are a certifiable loony. I would bet you hate Pit Bulls and believe all the bad press they get. I'll go further and say you believe Michael Vick is innocent.

I really have no opinion on pit bulls. Vick I know is a football player, but don't really know the details of his case. Or care.Dancer wrote:planosteve wrote:I'm not aware of any that claims they are wrong. If you find one let me know, kent wrote:and what if 2201 architects say the others are wrong? Re: 6 Reasons To Question and Investigate 9/11
Lets tap the brakes here, Planosteve has presented what he believes to be valid information. While I don't subscribe to the theory of any conspiracy on 9/11, we will have discussion about the story.
If you have proof that dispels any of the theories presented by Steve please bring those forward.
My opinion is that the conspiracy that is followed by Plano is Horseshit, if I choose to join this topic, I will back up my side with facts, not just throw out an observation.
I don't think that Steve is looney, I think he has doubts about the event, and has decided to advance those doubts.
So as I stated when we created this discussion board, use facts,if salty language gets the point across use salty language. But lets don't disparage someone because we disagree.
Carry on.

Well, since Dancer will need to show some evidence that Steve is wrong..it's only fair that Steve present some evidence that he's not a loon.. since these are the two points in question.

I'm in complete agreement, except that Dancer only has to advance facts, your asking Steve to prove an intangible.
One of the favorite memes of the truther crowd is that jet fuel won't burn hot enough to melt steel. They are correct, if the fuel is in a static state without the help of extra oxygen, that was provided by a hole in a building on a high floor. However we know through history our ancient ancestors were able to smelt metals by burning wood and introducing extra oxygen.
Facts not theory get the answers.
Again, Steve subscribes to the conspiracy theory, I do not, just because he does in know way makes him a loon. It makes him have to present facts to make me believe that 9/11 happened the way he believes. So far he has not done that, but who knows tomorrow he may discover the pictures of Dick Chenney drilling holes in support beams.

Re: 6 Reasons To Question and Investigate 9/11
The key to understanding 9/11 is to realize that bldg 7 was a controlled demolition. There is no other way a steel structure can collapse at free fall speed straight down into it's footprint. You don't have to be a professional in construction to realize that. All you need is common sense. And to realize that a fire of combustibles cannot significantly weaken steel beams, let alone melt it. And no plane hit the building. Once you realize that bldg 7 was "pulled", according to the leaseholder, the rest of the 9/11 story falls apart. And the other aspects of 9/11 are as full of holes as the WTC collapse if you research them. But, a lot of people, Republicans especially, refuse to even consider these matters because of the implications they hold for their political beliefs. In short, they can't handle the truth. Particularly, if they haven't heard it on Fox or from the Hannity or Limbaugh shows.

I still don't see any reason to have demolished the buildings.
The plane hits did enough damage by themselves. Had the buildings not fallen all the way, they would have been torn down.
What was the point of an elaborate scheme to blow them up?

Re: 6 Reasons To Question and Investigate 9/11
When you look at the videos of the towers collapsing, it is very different from the video of building 7 which looks exactly like a standard demolition. And the people still close to building 7 were told to move away because the building was coming down. There is no doubt that it was a controlled demolition. The towers were something compeletely different. The buildings were literally turned into dust which covered lower manhatten inches deep. Everything was turned to dust, all of the 3,000 toilets, desks, chairs, computers, and of course all of the people that didn't jump. Building 6 which is usually not mentioned had a circular hole in the middle.

This is why.
Before you get around to the science of it all..you have to start with the who exactly and why exactly is someone wanting to tear down buildings in New York and then establish an elaborate phoney baloney plot..then you have to explain how and why every media outlet in the world is "playing along"..then you have to explain why Osama bin Laden took credit..then you have to explain why we went after the Taliban, (the obscure sect of rulers in an even more obscure country with no oil and of no interest to the United States..)..then you have to explain the Muslim flight students that passed through security..then you have to explain all the calls from the 4 planes..then you have to explain the multiple messages that told of slitting the throat of flight attendants..then you have to explain the calls from flight 93 and "let's roll"..and the fighting heard going on in the background..then you have to explain what we all saw on TV..then you have to explain to me personally how, and why I was evacuated from LAX that day..and never DID make it to my destination that week..etc. etc. etc...
..but I know it's much easier to ignore all that..and instead..create endless nonsense in your head and stay miserable and confused.

In the only authentic bin Laden statements he didn't take credit, he denied having anything to do with it.

That's the percentage of engineers who think that Star Wars is real.
Of course, architects are artists who leave the details up to the engineers. So, if you subtract the architects and the engineers who think Star Wars is real, you have 3 guys who are off their meds.
Re: 6 Reasons To Question and Investigate 9/11
But you must explain away all that I posted above, and a lot more, before people will listen to "yeah but building 7 wouldn't have come down".
Otherwise, you set yourself up to be endlessly ridiculed and laughed at...and yes, you"ll simply be a loon.
