She stuck almost entirely to the melody as written, and instead had the background music arranged in a very original manner..thereby presenting a very original version of the National Anthem with the proper melody intact.

I agree, but the Halftime Show is as bad as The Jackson Boob One. Who are these people?

Exactly what I said to my wife. I did think the John Malkovich one was both clever and funny, but there was little of that.
