D-Dat 75th anniversary today

5 years active duty Air Force during Viet Nam. 33 years civilian in the Department of Defense. So, I guess I am a jerk. But, I'm still getting paid for it I guess that makes 3 of us including Big Tex who actually served in the military.

Go back and read it again. I stated I was in the Air Force for 5 years. I spent 6 months at a top secret base in NE Thailand named Nakon Phanom built for the bombing N. Viet Nam before the Gulf of Tonkin which is what we blamed the war on.

You were not hurting my feelings,I dont think your wise enough to do so, however I do accept your apology. I WAS STANDING UP FOR THE THOUSANDS OF SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN WHO DID SERVE IN
A WAR ZONE AND LIVED TO RETURN HOME, SOME WHOLE, MANY MAIMED FOR LIFE WHO DO OR DID WEAR A VETERANS CAP, WW2, VIETNAM,KOREA, AFAGASTAN OR OTHER.

I SUGGEST YOU GO TO THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH NATIONAL CEMETARY AND TRY OUT YOUR "LAME ATTEMPT AT HUMOR" ON THE 45,000 PLUS VETERANS THERE, SEE IF YOU GET A CHUCKLE. NOTHING HUMOROUS ABOUT OUR KIA. MY HAT IS FOR THEM.

I am about 1,000 miles away. But, if I did and I got a chuckle, I'd be very concerned.
But, what I said had nothing to do with the dead. And not a lot of them died as a result of war injuries.
