Yes..Iran was very much involved in the war with Iraq.
They were there to kill Americans. They’re still there, and are just about everywhere in the Middle East..causing trouble. They are the dominant Muslim power there, and are pretty much responsible or heavily involved in all wars and terrorism in the Mid East.
But, we started the war. We invaded Iraq. We said Iraq had WMD. But, they didn't. And I've never heard that Iran fought in that war.
I don't know what you mean by they were "involved" in it.
