Mickey Newbury, who was from Houston, released an album, I can't find a date on it, called "Looks Like Rain". It was a "concept" album. All very sad songs. Between the tracks was a short interlude of rain and train sounds and a short refrain by "The Mystic Blues Orchestra". The whole effect was real errie, but beautiful. One of my favorites to pull out on a rainy night. But, your right, he had no big hits.
