Once again our regular mass-shooting thread has boiled down to who the perp is. I don't care if it's a trans, a liberal, a conservative, an illegal, a neo-Nazi, a preacher, a white guy, a black guy, or a brown guy.

Most people on this board have an extremely narrow-minded agenda as to who they want the perp to be, rather than focusing on the root problem, and it's complicated. Mental health, easy access to weapons, the glorification of firearms, or a combination of all of the above?

One of the saddest things I saw on the news today is a little 5th grade girl who said, "this is the first time I've seen this".

WHAT?!?!?! At her young age she's been conditioned to expect something like this? She said it as if this is type of thing is normal, and she just expected that she'd see it at some point. Like her first time going to the rodeo, or the circus, or the zoo. Sand and pathetic. But let's ban rainbow books. We're living in a world of chowderheads who believe that they're way is the only way. WHen my kids were little I made it perfectly clear that things always won't go their way and that they had to deal with it. But what we have now is adult people (far right AND far left), people who can vote, and drive cars, and have dates acting like a bunch of spoiled little kids always thinking they're supposed to get their way. That's not the real world.
