McCarthy has to go

Postby Mark » Wed May 31, 2023 6:01 am

The deal Speaker Kevin McCarthy negotiated with Brandon includes a complete suspension of the debt ceiling until the next president takes office....

This is bullshit. Why hasn't some member of the House already filed the motion to vacate the Chair?

It looks as if McCarthy had a stronger position than the Biden admin.

The American people were on the side of fiscal responsibility.

Could a better deal have been made?

I don't know, it may be that this is as good as it gets.

It's clear that nobody won.

Dan Bishop is first in line...

Members of the Freedom Caucus, the most conservative caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives, are keeping going after Kevin McCarthy’s speakership on the table in the wake of the disappointing tentative debt ceiling deal he cut with Joe Biden.

Dan Bishop became the first Republican to publicly support ousting McCarthy as speaker...

Steve Deace:

“So we’re back to the Boehner years of passing Democrat bills with a Republican majority. Nothing has changed in DC despite all the bluster, drama, chants, and branding otherwise. Democrats won’t count your vote, and Republicans will make sure your vote doesn’t count.“

This big pile of shit passed the House with more Democrat votes than Republican votes. That tells us all we need to know about it. Schumer says he will fast track it through the Senate. There's our other clue that it sucks.

McCarthy sucks. Why hasn't the motion to vacate the Chair already been made.

Democrats always stand firm until Republicans surrender. Republicans are always in a big hurry to surrender, no matter what.

This nation is doomed.

Well, you got the last one right. But, we've known that for a long long time. No paper fiat money ever lasts. It's amazing that it has lasted as long as it has. Oh, and McCarthy does suck. But, who do the Republicans have that doesn't?

Ted Cruz is a hard no on this pile of shit. Predictably, swamp creature John Cornyn is not.

ETA: Which means that John Cornyn will be voting with Chuck Schumer on this pile of shit.

This big pile of shit sailed through the Senate last night, also with more Democrat votes than Republican votes.

The Democrats are all doing victory laps now. The Brandon Administration now has a blank check to do whatever the hell they want to do until Brandon's first term is over. There is no debt ceiling.

The U.S. national debt has increased by $1 trillion in the five weeks since President Biden signed a bill into law that effectively turns off the debt ceiling until 2025.

According to Treasury Department data, the total national debt stood at $32.47 trillion on July 6, $1 trillion more than the $31.47 trillion level last seen on June 2. The national debt had been stuck at or near that June 2 level for months because the government had hit the debt ceiling and was legally prohibited from borrowing any more money.

On June 3, however, Biden signed legislation reflecting negotiations with House Republicans that requires a small spending cut next year and allows unlimited federal borrowing until 2025. With no debt ceiling in effect, federal borrowing jumped more than $350 billion in a single day and crossed the $32 trillion mark in less than two weeks.

That quick increase reflected pent-up demand for borrowing that the government delayed while the debt ceiling deal was being negotiated.

The national debt has increased $4.7 trillion since Biden took office in January 2021, and is expected to keep rising in the face of annual budget shortfalls of at least $1 trillion per year. So far in fiscal year 2023, the government has spent $1.16 trillion more than it has collected and the Biden administration is predicting a $1.5 trillion budget deficit when the fiscal year ends in September.

Fiat money is unconstitutional and always has been. Gold and silver are the only forms of money that are constitutional. But, nobody ever brings that up any more.

Useless McCarthy should have held a minimum of three impeachment votes the same night he took the gavel. He is underselling and slow-walking every evil deed of the Biden Crime Family...

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy compared President Joe Biden's alleged weaponization of government to that of President Richard Nixon, and the California Republican said he believes the Congressional investigation will rise to an impeachment inquiry.

https://justthenews.com/government/cong ... mpeachment

When Nancy Pelosi was in charge, the Democrats were able to go from zero to impeachment in a matter of days with no grounds and no evidence. This pussy McCarthy is trying to run out the clock on his two year term without getting anything done.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no...

We need a constitutional ban on these damn continuing resolutions.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said Sunday he would like to see Congress pass a short-term funding bill, but one that does not extend to the holiday season.

Saying he did not believe Congress would have enough time to pass all the needed appropriations bills by Sept. 30, the end of the fiscal year, McCarthy suggested a short-term continuing resolution to avoid a government shutdown.

McCarthy just rammed through a ridiculous continuing resolution with DEMOCRAT votes. The motion to vacate the Chair should have been immediately made.

Matt Gaetz, where in the hell are you? You don't have a hair on your ass if you don't immediately make this motion.

Byron Donalds just blasted McCarthy on this morning's Fox New Sunday show.

Democrats are all doing victory laps this morning because this dumbass Lefty McCarthy just gave them everything they wanted.

McCarthy can't be ousted fast enough. This isn't what America voted for.
