Everyone is disappointed but no one is surprised. The stakes in today's outcome were not insignificant. Yet they could not muster a single run to tie, much less two runs to win. I hope I'm wrong but I think their stay in the playoffs will be short.

Hitting on the road has been an issue for this team going back a couple of decades.

Montgomery and Eovaldi starting in the first two games in Tampa should give the Rangers a chance, but this offense needs to start giving the pitchers a chance. I have no idea who starts after those two. After both going multiple innings yesterday, Dunning and Perez are both out for a few days.

The Rays are a beatable team. They've got their own issues with injuries and suspensions. This isn't the same team that was mowing through the league back in April.

It all falls on the backs of our hitters. It's time for them to start carrying the load. Semien? Seager? Garcia? Where are you guys?

Very nice win today. Need to go get it done again tomorrow with Eovaldi.

That was total domination (except for Chapman). I think a showdown with the Astros is inevitable. And I don't feel good about it.

The ALCS begins Sunday. By sweeping the Orioles, we should be able to get our rotation lined up any way we like. I'm assuming we'll roll Eovaldi out there for game 1.

And Semien gets the award for being heads up on that play. He was staring at Altuve's feet, asked for the ball, and them stomped the base while pointing at it and looking at the umpire.

I've been looking for updates on Mitch Garver, but I can't find anything. After getting drilled in the ribs by that punk Bryan Abreu last night, Bochy pinch hit for Garver in his next at-bat. I hope he's okay.

X-rays came back negative for a fracture.
