Photo show help

Greetings, oh those with much knowledge…

I need to put together a slide show to a specific song. Got the photos, got the song both on Spotify and Apple Music (premium subscriptions).

Been trying to put the tune with the pics on iMovie, but iMovie won’t let me use Spotify and it won’t let me source it from Apple Music even though it appears the latter would be my only option.

So, how do I do this, me a mere mortal without access to studio equipment?

I'm guessing you want to use an Apple product only.

IMovie no longer allows Spotify.

iMovie won’t let me use the tune I purchased on Apple Music.

It’s a conundrum.

I’ll use something else, just has to be idiot- & blonde-proof.

Maybe I misunderstood what you need.

You DO NOT have the music on your computer and want to add music from a streaming platform.

If the above is correct, then you can't do that.

You have to have the music file on your computer and converted to a format that imovie recognizes.

Most of what I do I use Cyberlink stuff. But I'm not sure if that will help you.

Here's a work around. And I do mean around.

Download Audacity (free). Use Audacity to capture the music from your source. I use YouTube but Spotify should work. Export the capture. I export to mp3.

I use a cassette deck. I have 5 of them.

My work around: my Sonos speakers are pretty killer so I hit play on the tune I wanted them immediately hit record on iMovie and let it record. Not perfect but dang near close.
