Mike Johnson did the exact same thing that got Kevin McCarthy kicked out of that seat. He just rammed through Democrat spending with Democrat votes. This is bullshit.

Speaker Johnson is releasing ALL of the J6 tapes. He gets credit for that. Those tapes are showing what we all already knew, that those that were on the J6 sham committee are all a bunch of serial liars.

Some have said that since Speaker Johnson had been on the job for less than three weeks, we should cut him some slack for the Democrat CR he rammed through. I'll extend him that latitude. Speaker Johnson said that he would absolutely not do another one of these things. I will hold him to that.

House and Senate leadership have agreed to another short-term continuing resolution to keep the government funded until the beginning of March as they work to pass appropriations bills.

The short-term continuing resolution will keep in place Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) two-part approach, in which four appropriations bills would be funded until March 1, and the remaining eight will be funded until March 8, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

During that time frame, Congress would work to write and pass appropriations bills at the top-line agreement between the two chambers of $1.66 billion.

This is sure to anger many conservatives in the House who believe Johnson is once again kicking the can down the road, especially after he committed to not doing another short-term continuing resolution in November 2023 when he pitched the first two-part continuing resolution.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said on Friday she is threatening to oust Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) over his spending framework agreement with President Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

Greene spoke with former White House adviser and former Breitbart News executive chairman Steve Bannon on his show, War Room, about Johnson’s spending framework deal, which has enraged conservatives, including Greene and members of the Freedom Caucus.

The Georgia conservative said in a meeting with the Speaker that she would move to “vacate the chair” if he did not meet her demands on the budget.

“In my meeting with him yesterday and many other members of Congress, I let Speaker Johnson know that in no way, shape and form will I support any type of CR [continuing resolution],” Greene explained.

She continued, “We aren’t continuing Nancy’s budget, Nancy Pelosi’s budget, and that if he moves forward with a separate deal, trading our border security, weakening H.R. 2 in exchange for $60 billion to Ukraine. I told him yesterday in his office that I would vacate the chair, that that is absolutely unacceptable.”

The Senate voted 77-18 and the House voted 314-108 to extend funding to March 1 and March 8.
