The FBI Entraps Another Stupid Kid
Moderates in both the Senate and House Republican leadership are using a recent terror threat on the United States Capitol as an excuse to cave on President Obama's executive amnesty.
Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) told National Review that he is “acutely aware” of the plot to bomb the Capitol thwarted by the FBI Thursday. The plot consisted consisted of an Ohio man, described by his father as a "mama's boy" who had no car, who was arrested Thursday by the FBI after purchasing two M-15 rifles. The FBI described the mama's boy's plans to later attack the Capitol as "aspirational and not operational."
Nevertheless, moderate Republicans are freaking out. “Going back to the importance of getting Homeland Security bill [passed], we take that very seriously,” House GOP Conference chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers told NRO. “It really is the number one responsibility of the federal government to keep the country safe and we need to take this seriously . . . we will be working very closely with the president.”
Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-TX) echoed McMorris Rodgers, “That’s why you’re hearing an unequivocal commitment to funding the Department of Homeland Security,” he told NRO. “We’re not going to put that at risk under any circumstances.”
In reality, close to 90 percent of the Department of Homeland Security is deemed essential and would not be affected by a shutdown should Obama and the Democrats choose to prioritize executive amnesty over funding the DHS.
But the recent terror attacks in Paris, and now the mama's boy in Ohio, have given moderate Republicans the perfect excuse to abandon a fight they never really wanted in the first place.

Re: The FBI Entraps Another Stupid Kid
Here's Glenn Greenwald's comments:
The Justice Department on Wednesday issued a press release trumpeting its latest success in disrupting a domestic terrorism plot, announcing that "the Joint Terrorism Task Force has arrested a Cincinnati-area man for a plot to attack the U.S. Capitol and kill government officials." The alleged would-be terrorist is 20-year-old Christopher Cornell (above), who is unemployed, lives at home, spends most of his time playing video games in his bedroom, still addresses his mother as "Mommy" and regards his cat as his best friend; he was described as "a typical student" and "quiet but not overly reserved" by the principal of the local high school he graduated in 2012.
The affidavit filed by an FBI investigative agent alleges Cornell had "posted comments and information supportive of [ISIS] through Twitter accounts." The FBI learned about Cornell from an unnamed informant who, as the FBI put it, "began cooperating with the FBI in order to obtain favorable treatment with respect to his criminal exposure on an unrelated case." Acting under the FBI's direction, the informant arranged two in-person meetings with Cornell where they allegedly discussed an attack on the Capitol, and the FBI says it arrested Cornell to prevent him from carrying out the attack.
Family members say Cornell converted to Islam just six months ago and claimed he began attending a small local mosque. Yet The Cincinnati Enquirer could not find a single person at that mosque who had ever seen him before, and noted that a young, white, recent convert would have been quite conspicuous at a mosque largely populated by "immigrants from West Africa," many of whom "speak little or no English."
The DOJ's press release predictably generated an avalanche of scary media headlines hailing the FBI. CNN: "FBI says plot to attack U.S. Capitol was ready to go." MSNBC: "US terror plot foiled by FBI arrest of Ohio man." Wall St. Journal: "Ohio Man Charged With Plotting ISIS-Inspired Attack on U.S. Capitol."

I don't know. But, their take was quite different than what the MSM put out. Once again, the govt. used entrapment to propagate a lie. Why is that a surprise?

You have it backasswards. Greenwald is one of the top investigative reporters in the country who has won many awards for his work including a Pulitzer Prize. They are the ones that develop information. It is the MSM that just mainly parrots and spins the information.John in Plano wrote:the msm was their sources, all they did was parrot and spun

If they banned the phrase "radical Islamic extremeist" from the airways, Fox News would consist mostly of miniskirted bleach blondes stitting silently stareing at the camera trying to remember not to uncross their legs while the camera is on.

Are you saying that would be a bad thing?

You mean that's not what it is now? Women who look like they were all extruded from the same Play Doh machine is but one of the many reasons I don't watch Fox News.
Working to love my fellow person regardless : >

Man, I need to watch the news more often.

That's not even remotely close to being true, but it's a good line.
Andrea Tantaros, Megyn Kelly, Greta van Susteren and Harris Faulkner could never be confused for one another.

Okay I just checked them all (because I have no idea who 3 are). They all look like they were picked out of a Playboy centerfold audition, had the same hair dresser, make up person, and clothier. That's what makes them look like clones despite differences in hair and skin color. Greta is the only one who looks like a real human being. They were clearly chosen to appeal to a mostly male audience.

Re: The FBI Entraps Another Stupid Kid
Greta had some pretty substantial face work/lift done a few years ago.
And really now, you think people whose job it is to be on TV every day should not be judged and hired hugely on what they look like?

..and foidamore..you may be an exception, but I think it's well established that women would rather look at attractive rather than unattractive women on TV as well.

Absolutely not! Remember David Hartman from Good Morning America about a million years ago? I'd far rather see normal looking people than potential centerfolds. I think all those ridiculously gorgeous people pervert real humans idea of what we are supposed to look like and what our purpose for existence is..........especially silly youngsters who are so easily intimidated by their looks to begin with.
Can't speak for other women but I don't prefer to watch plasticized, botoxed, painted faced, froo froo haired women..........or men. What I would prefer is real people delivering real news, not the National Enquirer style of journalism that passes for news these days.

Re: The FBI Entraps Another Stupid Kid
There is no difference between the women on Fox News and the women in any major TV news market. They are all made up to look attractive to their audience.
It's just fun to hate on Fox News because they are whipping everybody else in the ratings.

Tammy Dombeck . . . Whitney Drolen . . . just happened to be great traffic reporters.. . .

I think the key phrase here was.."a million years ago."
