When I was stationed there in the 60's I really liked the German folks. Most had no Idea of what was going on and
the government was out of control of the people.

I haven't read any books. But, I have read about some and read reviews of others.
The few books I've seen that claim to debunk the deniers are essentially in the "shoot the messenger" mode. They throw around terms like "denier" about like the climate change crowd does. I think the fact that there are still after 70 years books being written questioning the holocaust means that it is certainly not a settled matter. This one just came out last November!

Certainly, a lot of civilians died in WWII. But, there is no evidence of an intentional mass slaughter of Jews by the Germans. What the evidence shows is deaths by starvation of prisoners during the end of the war as the allies bombed everything that moved, preventing delivery of food and supplies to the camps.
