Yes he does. Perhaps he had plenty of water and fish. I can't imagine eating raw fish at all...............heck any fish.

Sushi makes me gag, however if I went a few days without anything to eat I would wolf it down.

Re: WOW , pretty amazing if true
Eating sushi is nothing like pulling fish out of the sea and eating them raw.
Love sushi!
..but too darn expensive.

My favorite fish dinner is crappie or walleye, caught, cleaned, batter, and fried in lard; 5 minutes from hooked to cooked.

I'll leave the Sushi to the more refined; I'll have some sardines out of a can with a little hot sauce and be much happier.

Red Oak's sounds about as disgusting as sushi. Anything that looks, tastes, and smells like fish ain't goin' on my menu.

I like oysters (not raw), shrimp, prawns, crab, frog legs, and fried conch as well.

Forget sushi for a minute.
Growing up in Texas puts you at a distinct fish/seafood disadvantage.
(I know how this goes, my wife grew up in Indiana.)
First of all, fresh water fish is second rate right off the bat.
You gotta have salt water, Sue..and this New Englander learned 50 years ago..the world's greatest seafood comes from the deep, cold , open ocean.

I pretty much like it all if its cooked smoked or tinned !!
Re: WOW , pretty amazing if true
Greg have you ever looked at a map of Texas ? We do have a little bit of a Coastline, however I grew up at least 300 mile from it.
In general I agree about most fresh water fish not being as good as saltwater fish; ling and red snapper are my favorites from the Gulf of Mexico; Black Tip Shark ain't half bad grilled.

Re: WOW , pretty amazing if true
north atlantic cod , or Pollack or Alaskan cod are my favorites , salmon is ok , like it best smoked and hot sauced . Tinned herring used to annoy people when I opened the tin at work so that made me smile. Sardines are last on the list but I have them in my -bob- and in the car for travel because of their convenient portion size . I'd rather eat fried cold or baked ORIGINAL Spam though !!

Yes, some tasty fishes come from the gulf..also the Caribbean, and definitely from the Mediterranean.

Cod is wonderful fish, but you want to enjoy it right from the ocean to your plate..like they serve in Cape Cod.
Take a trip up there, and drag Sue along with you.

I have a few cans of Dine in my BOB also.
I left out Lobster, pretty tasty for a ocean going cockroach
Clams 'wid de bellies' are not for me; I had quite an experience with those in Whar-Wick Whode Eyeland.
