The Military is Full of Queers

As I predicted last year, the day is fast approaching when the military will be flooded with people wanting to change their gender at taxpayer expense. If you can stomach it, here is the story of Sgt. Shane Ortega. Or at least that is his male name. He has served three combat tours: Two in Iraq as a female Marine and one in Afghanistan as a male soldier. Born female, “he” is a helicopter crew chief in the Army’s 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii. Ortega holds a man’s military travel passport but must wear a woman’s “dress blues” for official occasions because he/she is still identified as female in the Army’s computer system.I note three things:

“An estimated 15,500 transgender people serve in the military, according to the Williams Institute, a legal think tank that studies sexual-orientation and gender-identity issues.”

“Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James said last year that she supports the idea of allowing Americans to serve regardless of their gender identity.”

“During a February question-and-answer session with troops in Kandahar, Afghanistan, Defense Secretary Ashton Carter suggested that being transgender alone should not disqualify someone from the military.”

Now you see why I say that the day is fast approaching when the military will be flooded with people wanting to change their gender at taxpayer expense. I said all of that to say this: Is this what it will take to finally cause conservative Christians to end their love affair with the military? Too bad the military fighting unjust and immoral foreign wars has only increased Christian support for the military.

Gay people present no problem to me..or for me.

But there is no way I can take "changing your gender" seriously..no matter who pays for it.

I do not believe you can change your gender..but you can mutilate yourself.

yeah , transgenders and ^^^^^^^^^OFF TOPIC but eventually , couple of years or maybe even now US military will be full of foreigners looking for legal citizenship .

I am waiting for the "Open Minded Progressives" to tell us how having militant LBGTQEIEIOs in the Military, and Women in the Combat Arms make our Military more effective at their mission. Or how spending Military Defense dollars on genital mutilation and hormone treatments make our Country safer.

There have been Homosexuals in the Military since the beginning; but they had to keep their activities quiet; those mature ones were an asset generally and are to be respected. The current group of flagrant troublemakers are a completely different case.

Once you let one group of flagrant sexual deviants in, how to you keep the other ones out ?

It's not about improving the military or making us safer, it's about liberals grabbing power by creating another victim class.

I didn't know anyone still used the word "Queer"....a little off putting even if you agree with the topic. Anyone here who happens to have a homosexual friend/family member would and should be highly offended. I'm not saying people should not be able to have an opinion here but would hope it would be more thoughtfully expressed without using such a pejorative word.

I'm busy preparing tax extensions for tomorrow so really don't have time to follow up or debate this. But I saw the title and thought something needed to be said.

I agree we shouldn't be using it..but it is still fairly commonly used among gay people.

It's like the N word, that black people still can and do use often.

The POTUS via his Top Adviser (Handler) Valerie Jarrett uses it in official pronouncements, it is all over Plan Parenthood, Progressive, and Homosexual Websites and literature.

President Barack Obama, through a statement posted Wednesday night on the White House website by adviser Valerie Jarrett, backed legislation that would ban parents from having their children counseled not to be what Jarrett called "LGBTQ+".

“As part of our dedication to protecting America’s youth, this Administration supports efforts to ban the use of conversion therapy for minors,” Jarrett said in the White House statement.

“Conversion therapy generally refers to any practices by mental health providers that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity,” said the statement. “Often, this practice is used on minors, who lack the legal authority to make their own medical and mental health decisions. We share your concern about its potentially devastating effects on the lives of transgender as well as gay, lesbian, bisexual, and queer youth.”

Jarrett conceded in her statement that an act of Congress would be needed to pass a national law that prohibited parents from having their children be counselled to be heterosexual rather than what she called “LGBTQ+."
