Care Flight info

Postby LibraryLady » Thu Apr 16, 2015 9:59 pm

FYI

If you or a loved one/friend are ever in need of Care Flight services, if you go to the website within 24 hours and pay $50 for a membership, the cost of the flight is free.
http://www.careflite.org/membership.aspx

The man told us if it is a friend or family you could purchase the membership in that person's name.

He said that the other "air ambulances" don't allow membership to be paid after the flight takes off.

--------We were at a presentation about what the Care Flight air ambulance can do.

Let's hope none of us ever need the service.

Very interesting. I've always wanted to ride in a helicopter - but not as a patient, thank you.

BTW their website is really lousy.

Thanks for that tip LL; as someone who is often off the beaten path that is money well spent.

I figure those living in a rural area would be more apt to need a care flight than someone like me....living across the street from a hospital.

I imagine that's true. Hardly a week goes by that medical helicopters don't fly over or nearly over our house at least once. We are apparently on the flight path between Dallas and Sulphur Springs.
