Yep, another great song..................though that recording isn't exactly the best example of the song. I think Bob was pretty messed up there.

Bob popularized playing with a harp rack. I wondered how he did that. Do you have to learn the harmonica first? So, I decided to try it. Actually, it's kind on instinctual thing. You just learn by doing it, and it kind of comes naturally. Problem is you need a separate harmonica for each key and another if you play cross harp. And they don't last very long.

My guess is that sturdier materials would make them uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time.

Moisture. You need to keep them dry as possible or the metal reeds corrode and won't vibrate. I didn't notice much difference among various brands.

Ya made me curious. I had read about Baez and Dylan a few weeks ago. Wickipedia says: " Many critics have noted the similarity of 'Lowlands' to 'Lownds', the name of Dylan's wife Sara, and Dylan biographer Robert Shelton wrote that 'Sad Eyed Lad' was a 'wedding song' for Sara Lownds, whom Dylan had married just three months earlier.
