won't do any good , they lose their business and I think they have to pay the 135 grand . Only thing left is WalMart and welfare for their kids and WalMart might not hire knowing who they are . ------------------- AND , no slur meant by saying that they might go to work for Wal Mart .

In general they do a fair job of beating the tar out of each other.

You really don't think it's significant that because this Christian couple said "no thanks" to making a cake for a gay couple..they lose their business?

You said yesterday you intend to support churches that don't wish to marry gay people.

To me this shows a complete loss of societal sanity..but there's a lot of that lately.

When people AND the legal system fail us..what are our alternatives?

This is s judgement by a State bureaucracy, I don't believe it has seen the inside of a court, yet.

This is just a small taste of the persecutions ahead of us.

Instead of buying junk food or minor consumable from some Sodomite supporting company donate a few bucks to some people trying to preserve a little vestige of Freedom.

critical thinking , rule of law seems to be gone . Emotional thinking and emotional law making has taken hold in the 'usa' and I don't see it changing anytime soon !!

There's a saying in 12 step groups "The issue is not the issue." That's the case here. This isn't about sexual orientation. The business violated state law plain and simple. You don't like the law? Leave the state or don't go in business. No one has the right to break the law just because they don't agree with it..............unless their last name is Obama.

"'This case is not about a wedding cake or a marriage,' Avakian wrote. 'It is about a business's refusal to serve someone because of their sexual orientation. Under Oregon law, that is illegal.'"

Saw a great line on FB this a.m. "If selling a gay couple a wedding cake means a Christian baker is participating in their marriage, does selling a gun to a murderer mean a Christian gun store owner participated in the murder?" I love it!

I think it's about a couple of lowlife Obama voter/entitlement and offended class/ victimhood jerks who think just because there is a stupid law in place..they get to win the lottery and destroy a business.

If you're going to support churches that choose to not perform gay marriages, you have to support the people that attend that church and share the values of it.

to me , its about Free Association , you don't want to serve , rent or have anything to do with particular person based on anything then that should be your Right in a PRIVATE Business . Course , that's gone a long time ago and its only going to get more interesting in the future in my opinion .

Well, did y'all not read the quote from the article? It's the LAW in Oregon that companies can't discriminate. Ya can't break the law and expect to get a pass. Seems to me the company owners are the arrogant ones.

Do you just support any law because it's the law?

..or do you allow yourself to say.."this law is wrong,"

who was it , roobio said , its the law , think that 'kasich' and others said the same thing concerning the recent supreme court rulings . Just a signature and law of the land , pretty neat according to bill clinton a few years in the past . Course , some of the Nazis were still hung after their trials even though they were just following the laws .

That's not what the article says.
The law is that companies can't discriminate for certain reasons.
Sexual orientation is one of those reasons.
It does not say because of the type of marriage one chooses.
Two same-sex heterosexuals can marry each other for legal and/or tax reasons. I have heard of that happening and it had nothing to do with sexual orientation.
It appears the bakery chose to not serve participants in same-sex marriage. That alone does not break the Oregon law.

Go back and read the article again. I did. Seems pretty danged clear to me that the bakery broke the law since that's what the article says. Not my opinion, it's what the article says.
