San Francisco moved this week to try to cancel its sanctuary policy that protected an illegal immigrant murder suspect, but Congress pressed ahead nonetheless with legislation aimed at punishing the California city and any others who refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

House Republicans set up a Thursday debate on a bill that would withhold federal law enforcement grants from jurisdictions that shield illegal immigrants from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), turning back Democrats’ pleas for more time and more hearings on the issue.

Ralph is right.. years ago there was a strong anti illegal movement in California..remember Proposition 187? It was 20 years or more ago now.

The issue has long since gone away, and the subject hasn't been mentioned in many years other than amnesty and citizenship.

This is Trump Trump and more Trump. Even SENATOR Ted Cruz couldn't get traction nationally on this issue.

..and even he has publicly thanked Trump.

There have been rapes and murders by illegals almost daily for years.

This recent murder in San Francisco happened just as the world was chastizing Trump..the timing was perfect to do something about it..and to call attention to what he was saying in a POSITIVE light..instead of a negative one.

That poor girl's murder boosted Trump's assumptions..and as they say..the worm turned.

There has been NO movement against Sanctuary cities until all this happened.
