tx3653 Have you tried the butterfinger peanut butter cups?
I haven't seen them but will add them to my grocery list so I'll remember to hunt for them. They sound really good. Thanks!

Re: What's your favorite candy?
Almond Joy or York Peppermint Patty would probably be my favorites.
Re: What's your favorite candy?
Butterfingers are great but they're too gunky.

Ann, I found them at Target this afternoon. Bought 2 bags. Already opened one and had several of them. Very good, bite size, unwrapped, Butterfinger & peanut butter taste, Nice! I could probably eat the entire bag tonight but I wont. will limit myself to 3-4 more.

I used to like Necco wafers but haven't seen them in a long time.
Re: What's your favorite candy?
I love the chocolate covered caramel nut clusters from the bulk section at Sprouts.
Re: What's your favorite candy?
Here are a couple that go way back. My favorites when I was a kid.
1. Candy Cigarettes
2. Wax harps, teeth etc. I liked to chew the wax. It was probably paraffin but had a good taste to it.

Oh, and the wax coke bottles that were filled with different colors of super sweet liquid. You bit off the neck and drank the liquid. Oh, and bubble gum cigars. All those things were so nasty.................and we loved them. Unlike the teeth and lips the coke bottle wax had no flavor.
Remember the smelly plastic that came in a tube? It wasn't edible. About all you could do with it was blow bubbles. It was very tacky and had a seriously nasty odor. I imagine it was full of carcinogens and other nasty stuff. Don't know why we liked it so much. But then we also ran and played in the smoke coming out of the mosquito spraying trucks. I'm pretty sure they were spraying DDT.

I don't remember her last name, but definitely the Candy I met at my 3rd bachelor party in Austin in '73.

On our last trip to West Lafayette, we stopped at a candy shop in Missouri, they had all of the old time candies, including Necco wafers. We asked if they had an internet presence, but they don't. They should...

Which may be why you had 3 bachelor parties. Or were you a guest and not the honoree?

I've bought candy from a couple of online places that sell old time candy. The Vermont Store sells Necco wafers. What is a show stopper on most of them is the cost of shipping. It's often twice the price of the candy. Don't those Valentine candy hearts have the same taste as Necco wafers? I always thought they were made by the same company.
Just answered my own question. They are the same thing.

Well Sue, if you didn't need overnight delivery to get your candy fix shipping wouldn't cost so much.

Well yeah, but then I'd have to live in the city.
The last candy I bought was for a friend. She got hooked on those strawberry candies that have wrappers that look like strawberries so I bought her a couple of packages.

Re: What's your favorite candy?
I should go to the ole timey candy store in Port Aransas and see if they have necco wafers. I forgot that there is one candy I like......candy corn! No, I haven't bought any this year. I might if I found individual bags. Oh wait, I have a girl friend that gets them for me every Halloween. It's the only time she eats candy and wants company, I guess. The third gal of the trio only wants chocolate. Somewhere, Joyce found her a chocolate pumpkin. The waiter says "Can I interest you in some dessert?" We all shake our bags of candy. "No, we have our dessert."
