Why? That already exists. Felons are not allowed to own firearms or to vote. I suspect that 98% of Republicans (conservative estimate) think that is reasonable. It's Democrats who want felons to be able to vote, but want to restrict the 2nd Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.

And they certainly aren't smart or cunning...look at the crap they try to convince people of...like there is no way for the US to stop mass shooting (even though we are the only first world country with this problem...every couple of weeks it seems) or police never lie or all Muslims are wild-eyed terrorists just waiting to reveal themselves.
