This is yet another case of a guy who has plenty of enablers who helped him get to where he currently is. Clearly his dad is part of the problem. I feel sadfor him but he's reaping the consequences of the choice he made. The article makes him sound like a victim. He isn't.

Sarcasm , messed up glands are pretty much BS in most cases imo !! Depending on a persons height anything over maybe 250 , 300 pounds is self indulgence in my opinion . 250 pounds on a tall big guy is normal imo . My opinion is that when a big tall guy hits 250 and then just keeps putting on weight he oughta see a doctor if he REALLY believes that he has gland problems . [imo] And I know a few 6 foot 2 - 3 inch 250 pound people , mostly guys Sue .

I've never understood how gland trouble can make fat unless the calories are present.
If that were true, some of the starved Jews from Hitler's camps would have been fat.

Body metabolism is a factor, for example at 20 I could consume twice the calories that I do now, and I weighted 20 pounds less.

But at some point, obesity it is just eating too damn much.

I wish our old Chief of talk was on board here. His slim, svelt wife Yvonne was at one time in her life, as many of you know, a very hefty obese lady. I really would like her perspective on this. Maybe someone who knows them personally will ask for their/her thought on this. Sounds like a lot of us, including me, need more info on the cause of morbid obesity

I know it's a very complicated issue. Some obesity comes from gut flora gone wacko. I used to see a doc who studied it when he went to Europe, particularly France. There are some solutions in Europe that aren't available here thanks to our overly protective DEA.
