We are going to need a few cases

Postby Red Oak » Tue May 10, 2016 12:33 pm

To get through this Goat Rodeo of an Election !

Anheuser-Busch is renaming Budweiser, its most famous brand, as America.

All 12-ounce cans and bottles of Budweiser will feature the word "America" on their labels, instead of Budweiser, in the brand's distinctive cursive font.

The temporary label swap, which starts on May 23 and will go through the presidential election in November, is meant "to inspire drinkers to celebrate America and Budweiser's shared values of freedom and authenticity."

they probably should concentrate more on what is inside the can, rather than what is on the outside of it

That's just stupid. Why, there will be too many cans printed to make them a collection item.

There are so many great locally brewed craft beers available now, I'm surprised that anyone still drinks that horse piss.

But Budweiser isn't even owned by an American company any more.

Anhueser-Busch was sold in 2008 to a Belgian/Brazilian concern, Inbev.

Yes, the story mentions that. But it's still brewed here & the recipe has not been changed so it still tastes like horse piss.

I'd rather have Buffalo Butt than Horse Piss.

I grew up on Pearl and Lone Star. So you girlie men go ahead and enjoy your overpriced home brews. And don't forget to boil the nipples before you use them again.

Do you want to tell us how you are familiar with the taste of horse piss?

:D :D :D :D :D

My dad HATED weak ice tea. His description was that it tasted like rooster piss. (spoken in French so as not to be too rude)-- --I happen to share his desire to have a strong flavored ice tea drink. When presented with weak tea, my mind always says the same thing he said.

I personally have relied on others description of what Budweiser tastes similar too. ;)

For cheap swill PBR is tough to beat.

So did I. But it was more a function of price. And volume, as kegs were cheap back then. Maybe it was because Seguin, where I went to college, was close to San Antonio, where both were brewed?

I like strong ice tea also. The Chinese places always make it strong. Slap a lemon in and I'm good.
Re: horsepiss and rooster tinkle. I have NOOOOO clue but am shocked so many here know the taste. LOL
