Did you ever go there to see anyone perform?
We were there about 1977 and saw The Gatlin Brothers perform.
That night some goofus decided to toss a lighted firecracker (onstage? in a corner?) and it startled everyone.
The Gatlin brothers threw themselves down on the stage, literally, actually. When it was determined that it was NOT a gunshot, the brothers got back up, and ready to sing. Then one of them (Rudy?) gave a tongue lashing to whoever had done that and thought it was a good idea in a crowd.

Surprised to learn it closed so soon after we were there. It closed in 1978.

Have never been there.
Re: Panther Hall
Before my time. Is the building still there?
Re: Panther Hall
Was it near where Panther Island Pavillion is now?
Re: Panther Hall
Never been there, but two of my favorite albums are the "Live at Panther Hall" by Charley Pride and Willie Nelson.

Re: Panther Hall
A good replacement for Panther Hall in this day and time is a place called The Stagecoach Ballroom in Fort Worth at the corner of E. Belknap Street and Sylvania Avenue. It has been there since 1967. The entertainment is great - some local and many Country Artists from the 70's, 80's and 90's. Nice dance floor and drinks. Very enjoyable.
