We had one show up out here about 7 months ago. He started out running to the barn if he saw us outside. Slowly he started to settle down.
About an hour ago I was reading a book out on the porch. I felt our mama cat rubbing against my leg. I looked down and it was the tom. He actually let me stroke his back.
Patience pays.

That's great!
Now, when you take him in to be neutered, all that might change.

No, I won't get him neutered. Our "mama" cat has been fixed so there will not be any kittens. She is a calico and he is a yellow tabby.
Re: Feral tomcat
I've got a young feral cat here at the office I'm trying to tame. Now that it's cooled off during the days, he's not interested in his usual shady spot. See it occasionally.
Re: Feral tomcat
The amazing thing about this cat is that he and the female yorkie we have up at this house get along just fine.
Re: Feral tomcat
He is now making a pest out of himself. When I am here and outside, he wants a lot of attention. One purring son of a gun.

He is a yellow tabby. Our female is a calico.
