by turning it into a theme park.
There is a proposal for a $65MM tourist development at the East Rim that would include a tram down to the river, riverwalk, amphitheater, food pavilion. It sounds kind of cool, but not at the Grand Canyon where the beauty and wonder is its natural state. At least that's my opinion
And if your opinion is the same as mine, Save the Confluence has a petition you can sign opposing the proposed bill being submitted for approval

Making the Grand Canyon not so grand

"Theme park" sounds extreme, but a tram with a river walk and some food sounds good.
I went to the Grand Canyon once about 20 years ago. It was nice to look at, (from a great distance, unfortunately)..but there was no way to really get down there to see it up close and personal without taking a donkey ride with a guide..no,wasn't going to do that, and I don't think my wife ever wants to be within 50 feet of a donkey.
So, yes..I'll vote for a tram, especially. Not much sense in having awesome natural beauty if very few get to see it.

No casino mentioned.
It's ok if you disagree with me.
I can't force you to be right.

The old method has worked. No teams
it keps. the undesirables away.

Leave GC alone. Every time humans are given greater access to something they F it up. Not every beautiful sight needs hotels, bars, cement patches and more humans trashing it.

what the heck , USA is growing with just its internal population of 310 million and they have lots of MONEY that needs to be snagged one way or the other . And then there are the foreigners with money to burn that need to see that Canyon . Everyone needs to experience the Grand Canyon one way or the other , ehh ??
