I thought it was a clever way to present the topic of consent.

I think it's clever, too, Librarylady. And Ralph, yes, it's English. Maybe you'd prefer Italian? German? What a doofus! English is our native language, don't you know? Or are now against English?

Pretty silly to compare biology and youthful urges to simply..having a cup of tea.

I sent the link to my niece, who has an 18 year old son.

It turns out he had shown her the video a little while ago.

I don't think so.
If you can get anyone to think, "I would not force tea on someone, why would I force sex or alcohol?"

Unless you're a rapist, people don't force sex on people.

There are no tea urges that compare to sex at an opportune (inopportune) moment.

GFB, from what I read in the paper, many teenagers/college students think it is OK to force a girl 'cause they were at a party and drinking together...and don't consider it rape 'cause no weapon was used. I know a man who does not consider himself a rapist 'cause he didn't use a weapon on the 12 year old girl he raped.

IMO, respectable men/males would never force himself on a female---and that is what I am hoping this video says to young people.
From reading the news, too many males think if a weapon is not used then it is not rape.

We have all read stories of HS boys or college age young men who cross the line. Unfortunately it happens.

Don't you think teenagers that are drinking at parties have already crossed the line?

Instead of this silly video..I'd start with one that explains why you don't go to drinking parties..starting with you've broken the law..and a bit of good old fashioned.."nice girls don't do that."

Of course, for English people..that's like telling them not to breathe.
