Yeah, it takes time to recover from two huge stock market crashes.

Actually, it was one crash which the FED bailed out by printing money which is just a temporary fix. Then it crashed again and the FED bailed it out again. But, the point is that it wasn't a real recovery, it was monitary parlor tricks like QE and ZIRP. Measurement of real economic activity is down, not up.

Yep, one crash plus one crash equals two crashes. So we're in agreement on that.
And the Fed didn't bail out any individual investors.

But, it bailed out a lot of places where their money was.

I think someone else may have already mentioned it, but if we could go ahead and get a list of the heroes whose funerals should be televised live by all the channels, uninterrupted, that would be helpful. I'll even start the list:

1. Presidents (that's as far as I got)
2.

So, you think all Presidents are heroes? What automatically qualifies a President to be a hero?

Jello, I can think of a number of people in our history who have been more heroic than many presidents.

But that's really beside the point isn't it? We're talking about pre-empting the "funeral coverage" of an actual American hero in order to show the redundant talking points of a narcissistic President-elect who hasn't actually done a damn thing except parlay daddy's money, host a game show, take six bankruptcies, serve lousy food in his building's restaurant, and squeak by in a presidential election.

Putting aside all of your inane comments about Trump..point is, the funeral of an American President is an event worth cutting away from regular programming..

..everyone else is just another dead guy.

These smart ass responses are disgusting. You ARE the republican party's raging democrats. You act just like them. No class whatsoever. When Trump has something to say that's intelligent, I'll listen. I don't like him but I pray he'll grow up and act like an adult. From the two I heard, these aren't "thank you" tours, they are his "I won!" tours. But I truely hope he gets serious and decides to be a statesman.

John Glenn the Marine Aviator & Astronaunt was and will always be an American Hero, as a Senator well not so much. McCain as a Naval Aviator and a POW deserves our deep respect, as a Senator not so much.

With the passage of time few remember how vital to our National Security the Space Race was.

Meanwhile, the Trump stock market rally rages on, and the economy is really showing signs of life for the first time in eight years.

John Glenn..still dead.

the SELLING of the hero status is what annoys me . EXAMPLE , mark kelly / current astronaut her0 married to 'gabby giffords' and an heroic gun controller although he is still in his lair , hiding and waiting to make his appearance . The whole hero thing is used to get more money out of taxpayers by police , firemen , yada , yada and all so called public servants and their unions . They did their jobs , got paid , lived their lives , died and to me , well i don't worship them or regard them as anything other than government employees .
