My daughter's birthday card and the mail

Postby crocmommy » Wed Jul 30, 2014 2:55 pm

Yesterday was my 7 yr old daughter's birthday. So went to check the mail and we had someone else's mail in our box. Great....I thought...wonder if she got a birthday card. This morning, my mom called and asked if she got her birthday card...with twenty bucks in it. Nice....this had to be the day the post office picked to screw up our mail. It has been quite a while since this has happened. My other issue has been that they pretend to knock on my door when delivering certified mail when I know someone was home to sign for it.....

We occasionally get other people's mail but it hasn't happened in a while. I don't like that they fly down the road like a bat outta hell.

I hope you receive it. Mail service varies a lot. Be thankful if your's is good. I would guess it's more trustworthy in rural areas.

A few years ago we were living in and sorting-out my deceased aunt's home in Chicago. I mentioned to one of her neighbors that my husband had mailed me something I'd forgotten. Without hesitation, he said, "You won't get it." And I never did.

Apparently Chicago's US Mail Service is exactly like the rest of Chicago- utterly, completely corrupt.
