Going to the store, better grab my I.D.

Postby rusty » Mon Oct 14, 2019 3:48 pm

"You know, if you want to go out and buy groceries, you need identification. If you want to do almost anything you need identification. The only thing you don't need identification for is to vote, the most important single thing you're doing -- to vote," - Donald Trump, October 2019

No, he's not kidding. He's lying. Either that or he's more of an idiot than I gave him credit for.

He’s right.

Like most people, groceries often involve beer or wine etc.

The I.D.s get shown at the grocery store.

Like most people?
I guarantee you we go to the grocery store 20 times before we buy anything we need an ID for, and I enjoy the adult beverage.

He said you need an ID to buy GROCERIES!! Do you consider beer, wine, or cigarettes groceries? If you do, that would explain a lot.

I don’t smoke, but yes..I buy wine regularly and it is part of my groceries.

And only in this age of TDS to people end up in such dumbass discussions.

You need another hobby.

It's nitpicking, but that's all they've got. We already know that CNN is coming after Trump 24/7, because Jeff Zucker is a liberal who hates Trump, but it's not enough. Russia, Russia, Russia is going nowhere, nowhere, nowhere. The whistleblower is a bust. No matter what the media does, they can't shake Trump or his supporters. Time to nitpick.

So calling out the so-called "leader of the free world" for being an idiot is not important, but slingin' snot and cryin' tears about AOC, CNN, a "pregnant" Elizabeth Warren, etc, etc. IS important. Man, you have some screwed up ideas of what matters in real life.

What you call the “leader of the free world”..most of us call the “President.”

..also happens to be one of the smartest people on the face of the earth..outsmarting his adversaries in both parties on a daily basis.

Rusty may be on to something, this time, you can now walk into the grocery store and put $300 bucks of groceries on a credit card.

No one ever looks at the card or questions your identity.

They know that the store is not on the hook for the money.

Unfortunately when you vote without I.D. the entire country is on the line.
It's a joke son,I say a joke

I don't buy my groceries on a credit card generally. I usually pay cash or use an debit card. You don't need an ID.

The simple fact is you don't NEED an ID to buy groceries. And that's exactly what he said. So I stand by my statement, either Trump lied, or he's a dumbass.

Man the TAKSandA are out in in full force tonight.

So you're fine with a store not checking that Joe Smith might be using Rusty's debit card?

Sure. With a debit card you have to enter a pin. Do they check your ID at an ATM machine? If Joe Smith has my debit card AND my pin I've got much bigger problems than someone checking an ID.

Do you want someone checking your ID after you've already entered your pin?

I'm not sure I understand your question. LOL.

No the ATM takes your picture and most probably has the transaction on video.

The point is we were much less likely to be a victim of theft when a I.D was required.

When any person can show up without I.D. and vote makes the system easy to commit voter fraud.

Can you get on a commercial flight without I.D.?

Can you withdraw money at the bank without I.D.?

Do you carry I.D.?

You can't get into a democrat rally without I.D.

No, the point isn't that we were or weren't safer with or without showing an ID. The point is that Trump has said, twice now, that you need an ID to buy groceries. That's the point. He's either a liar or an idiot. I vote both, but that's a different deal.

Trump is as clueless about what is needed to purchase groceries as he is in getting Obama care repealed and replaced and getting a wall paid for by Mexico.
It's ok if you disagree with me.
I can't force you to be right.
